Shingles come in sheets that measure three feet by one foot and range in thickness from four to twelve millimeters. These are composites made of mineral-stabilized, high-grade asphalt and reinforced fiberglass mesh that has been covered in granules with a high-strength ceramic coating.

Description of the Product
High-grade, mineral-stabilized asphalt mats reinforced with fiberglass make up CertainTeed roofing shingles. High-strength ceramic-coated granules are placed on top, and a mineral stabilizer/fire retardant is placed underneath.
